Sabrent Launches New Rocket 2242 M.2 Gen 4 NVMe SSD
Sabrent has unveiled the Rocket 2242 M.2 Gen 4 NVMe SSD. This drive is designed in the M.2-2242 form-factor, measuring 42 mm in length, making it a suitable option for handheld game consoles like the Legion Go. Currently, the Rocket 2242 is only available in a 1 TB capacity. It features a Phison E27T series DRAMless controller paired with Kioxia 162-layer 3D TLC NAND flash, and utilizes the PCI-Express 4.0 x4 host interface to deliver sequential transfer speeds of up to 5000 MB/s. Sabrent has not released any other performance or endurance specifications for this drive. The Rocket 2242 1 TB is priced at USD $99.99, is now on the market, and is backed by a 5-year warranty.
