Rambus Inc. Announces Availability of DDR5 Client Clock Driver

Rambus Inc., a leading provider of chip and silicon IP focused on enhancing data speed and security, has revealed the release of its DDR5 Client Clock Driver (CKD) designed for next-generation high-performance desktops and notebooks. The Rambus DDR5 CKD, along with the SPD Hub, is part of a new product offering for client memory interfaces that brings advancements in server technology to the client market. Drawing on over three decades of expertise in memory systems, the Rambus DDR5 CKD allows new client DIMMs (CSODIMMs and CUDIMMs) to operate at cutting-edge data rates of up to 7200 Megatransfers per second (MT/s), delivering exceptional performance in upcoming PCs.

"As technologies originally developed for data centers make their way into the client space, more powerful PCs will elevate gaming, content creation, and AI to new heights," stated Rami Sethi, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Memory Interface Chips at Rambus. "This new DDR5 Client Clock Driver is the latest addition to our expanding range of chip solutions that enable revolutionary memory performance across the computing landscape, providing added value to our customers."

In addition to the CKD, Rambus DDR5 memory interface chips feature Gen 1 to Gen 4 RCDs, Power Management ICs (PMICs), Serial Presence Detect (SPD) Hubs, and Temperature Sensors for cutting-edge servers. As data rates continue to increase, managing signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) becomes increasingly crucial. With over 30 years of experience in high-performance memory, Rambus is recognized for its expertise in SI/PI. This expertise helps ensure that DDR5 memory interface chips deliver superior signal integrity and power efficiency with higher yields for server and client DIMMs.
