MSI Announces Launch of AMD Ryzen 9000 Series Processors
MSI is thrilled to reveal the debut of the latest AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors, set to be introduced on the AM5 platform. These processors, powered by advanced 4 nm CPU process technology, are expected to transform the computing landscape with unparalleled performance, efficiency, and versatility for gamers and content creators. The AMD Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X are currently available, with the Ryzen 9 9950X and 9900X set to launch on August 15th. These processors will offer up to 16 cores and 32 threads, with a theoretical maximum boost clock speed of 5.7 GHz, 64 MB of L3 cache, and a maximum TDP of 170 W.
AMD Ryzen 9000 Series will support PCIe 5.0 for the GPU and M.2 while enhancing DDR5 memory speed. The AMD Ryzen 7 9700X boasts approximately 12% better overall performance than the first-gen AMD 3D V-cache CPU. These processors are compatible with the AM5 socket, and existing AMD 600 Series motherboards and Ryzen 9000 Series processors can seamlessly integrate by updating to the latest BIOS, available on MSI's product support page.
During Computex 2024, MSI introduced two new motherboards, MAG X870 TOMAHAWK Wi-Fi & PRO X870-P WIFI, supporting the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors. These motherboards feature a brand-new design with sleek patterns and are equipped with the latest DIY-friendly innovations exclusively for MSI, making them perfect for novice builders and enthusiasts.
MSI's exclusive Performance Switch overclocking function is ready for AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors within the MSI BIOS. Performance Switch offers three levels of presets and an advanced option for users to select from, combining AMD's default Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) with MSI's overclocking settings to deliver enhanced CPU performance in single-core and multicore operations.
MSI has also enhanced its BIOS with two powerful memory tuning options and the new Optimized Performance Profile (OPP) to provide users with unparalleled flexibility and performance optimization. The "Memory Try It!" feature offers a quick and straightforward way to enhance memory performance, while the "High Efficiency Mode" optimizes popular memory modules by increasing bandwidth and reducing latency.
AMD's Optimized Performance Profile (OPP) is designed to enhance the performance for AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors by identifying the optimal memory frequency sweet spot at DDR5-6000. With OPP, users can experience the full potential of their systems, achieving a new level of efficiency and reliability.
AMD has introduced several innovative software tools to enhance performance and stability with the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors. Memory Overclocking On The Fly (OC OTF) allows users to switch between JEDEC and EXPO memory speeds using Ryzen Master Software, while Curve Optimizer and Curve Shaper enable users to refine voltage curves for optimized undervolting.
With these new features, MSI continues to provide advanced, user-friendly solutions for maximizing system performance, offering enhanced gaming experiences and improved overall system responsiveness.
