Intel's Core Ultra 200V "Lunar Lake" Processor Series Launching Soon

Intel's highly anticipated ultraportable mobile processor series, the Core Ultra 200V series codenamed "Lunar Lake," is set to launch on September 3. This announcement comes from Acer, who will be hosting a media event to showcase their notebooks powered by these cutting-edge chips. The event is scheduled for September 4, indicating that Intel will unveil these processors no later than September 3. Typically, PC OEMs hold media events the day after Intel's processor launches.

The Core Ultra 200V "Lunar Lake" series is Intel's first to feature MoP (memory on package) technology, eliminating the need for separate memory modules. This innovation not only reduces the platform's Z height and PCB footprint but also allows for thinner notebooks. MoP offers advantages in power efficiency and latency compared to traditional memory setups. The processor is equipped with a 4P+4E CPU configuration, featuring "Lion Cove" P-cores and "Skymont" E-cores. Additionally, it debuts Intel's Xe2 "Battlemage" graphics architecture for enhanced iGPU performance and includes a powerful NPU that meets Microsoft Copilot+ AI PC requirements.
