Today, NVIDIA has lifted the review embargo on its GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card. TechPowerUp's audience can now read W1zzard's evaluations of six board partner models on the opening day here. Just before releasing their own verdict, Hardware Unboxed posted a video criticizing Team Green's decision makers. VideoCardz quickly picked up on the accusations made by the Australian PC hardware media outlet, stating that only GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB models were provided to reviewers and influencers. Tim Schiesser from Hardware Unboxed explained that while both variants were supposed to launch on the same day, only the 16 GB card was made available for reviews. Despite NVIDIA allowing reviewers to source 8 GB models for day one reviews, board partners claimed they were unable to provide them due to NVIDIA's restrictions.

Recent press material mentioned a simultaneous launch of both variants, but the cheaper $379 MSRP option seems to be delayed. An official source revealed to Schiesser and colleagues that the 8 GB card will be released slightly later, possibly a week after the 16 GB card with a $429 MSRP. However, both cards are set to launch on the same day, leading to confusion. Mixed messages from Team Green press liaisons have also been noted, with earlier communications suggesting equal focus on both 16 GB and 8 GB models. However, a recent Q&A session indicated a sudden shift towards prioritizing the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB models.

Furthermore, news outlets have reported on the surprising lifting of the review embargo for NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5060 (non-Ti) card. Despite its expected launch in May, the review embargo was lifted on April 16, the same day as the RTX 5060 Ti. This means that there will be no official review coverage for the RTX 5060, and those who manage to source the card before launch will not be able to share their results without breaking the embargo. Yesterday, Team Green's PR announcement highlighted the "game changing" GeForce RTX 5060 8 GB card with a starting price of $299.
