MSI has recently launched the most recent AMD AGESA ComboPI-1.2.0.3e BIOS update, which now supports all AMD AM5 models, such as X870, B850, B840, X670, B650, and A620 chipsets. This update not only provides compatibility for upcoming new CPUs, but also allows all AM5 motherboards to handle large-capacity 64 GB x4 DRAM chips. MSI motherboards have been fine-tuned for overclocking large-capacity DRAM, supporting DRAM chips from Micron, Hynix, and Samsung. Even with four 64 GB DRAM modules installed, the system can maintain a stable overclocking speed of 6000 MT/s, and potentially up to 6400 MT/s.
Furthermore, this update enhances 2DPC 1R capability and includes overclocking improvements specifically designed for Samsung's 4Gx8 chips. AGESA 1.2.0.3e has already been released for selected AM5 800 series models, with users able to download the updated BIOS from the MSI website. MSI will continue to roll out updates for the remaining AM5 models in the near future. Prepare to experience the impressive performance boost from memory overclocking!
