NVIDIA's Plans for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs
Recent leaks suggest that NVIDIA is preparing to release a SUPER refresh of its GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs. The latest information reveals details about the upcoming GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER, which is expected to have a slight increase in CUDA core count and 18 GB of memory.
In addition to the RTX 5070 SUPER, NVIDIA is also revamping the RTX 5070 Ti with the SUPER treatment. The new RTX 5070 Ti SUPER is rumored to come with as much as 24 GB of GDDR7 memory, while maintaining the same 8,960 CUDA core configuration as the GB203-350-A1 SKU based on the PG147-SKU55 PCB.
The increase in VRAM from 16 GB to 24 GB on the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER will also impact the card's total board power (TBP). The TBP for the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER is expected to be 350 W, compared to the 300 W TBP of the non-SUPER RTX 5070 Ti.
It is speculated that the additional power allocation in the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER could be used to support the higher VRAM capacity and potentially boost clock speeds. NVIDIA may also be optimizing the die bins for the SUPER SKU to achieve higher default clock speeds with only a 50 W TBP increase.
As rumors continue to circulate and leaks become more frequent, we anticipate more details about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SUPER in the coming weeks.
