Dell Alienware Laptops Upgraded with Intel Core Ultra 200HX Plus Processors
Dell has refreshed its Alienware gaming laptop lineup with the latest Intel Core Ultra 200HX Plus series processors, part of the Arrow Lake-HX Refresh. This update follows Intel’s recent launch of its new mobile chips, including the high-performance Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus. These processors are engineered for intensive gaming and workstation workloads, and introduce advanced features such as the Intel Binary Optimization Tool for enhanced performance.
Performance Upgrades Across Alienware Area-51 and 16X Aurora Models
The updated Alienware range includes both 18-inch and 16-inch models from the Area-51 series and the Alienware 16X Aurora. The 18-inch Alienware Area-51 continues to focus on delivering top-tier performance, now configurable with up to the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus. This flagship processor boasts 24 cores and boost clock speeds up to 5.5 GHz. For users seeking a balance of power and efficiency, the Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus offers a 20-core configuration with boost speeds reaching 5.3 GHz.
Enhanced Displays and Graphics for 16-Inch Alienware Laptops
The 16-inch Alienware models introduce significant improvements, particularly in display technology. As announced at CES 2026, both the Alienware 16 Area-51 and 16X Aurora now feature anti-glare OLED panels. These displays maintain a sharp 2560 × 1600 resolution and a fast 240 Hz refresh rate, while response times have been reduced to just 0.2 ms. Peak brightness has also been increased to 620 nits, a notable upgrade from the previous 500 nits found on earlier LCD models.
The Alienware 16X Aurora receives a graphics boost as well, now offering configuration options up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, replacing the previous RTX 5070. Memory support remains robust, with the 16X Aurora supporting up to DDR5-5600 RAM. Storage options range from 1 TB to 4 TB, with select configurations supporting PCIe 4.0 for faster data transfer speeds.
With these updates, Dell’s Alienware laptops continue to set a high standard for gaming and creative professionals, combining cutting-edge Intel processors, advanced display technology, and powerful graphics options.
