Thermalright Introduces Heilos Thermal Pads

Thermalright, the hardware cooling specialist from Taiwan, has quietly unveiled its latest product, Heilos thermal pads. Although the model name appears to be a typo, with "Helios" being the intended name, the packaging features a prominent sun graphic. It seems that there was a translation error or a missed spellcheck before printing. Regardless, Thermalright is offering two sizes of the thermal pads, both with a thickness of 0.2 mm. The first size, measuring 40x40 mm, is designed for AMD's AM4/AM5 CPU platforms, while the second size, measuring 40x30 mm, is intended for Intel LGA115X/1200/1700 CPUs. Pricing and availability details are yet to be determined.

These Heilos thermal pads provide an alternative solution for users who are concerned about the application of traditional thermal paste. According to Tom's Hardware, the pads offer thermal conductivity performance (8.5 W/mK) and resistance (0.04°C cm²/W) that are comparable to "affordable" tubes of Arctic MX-4 and MX-5 thermal paste. The latter is ranked fourth on the publication's list of the best thermal pastes. Previous thermal pads from other manufacturers have been criticized for their inferior cooling performance compared to leading thermal pastes. It is reassuring to see Thermalright addressing these concerns with the specifications of the Heilos thermal pads. Hopefully, evaluation samples have been sent to review outlets for further assessment.
